Hospital News
The health and safety of our patients and staff is Carlisle Regional Medical Center’s first priority. With the increase in flu this year, we have changed our visitation and treatment guidelines. This temporary policy is deemed necessary to limit the potential exposure of patients and staff to those who may have the H1N1 virus. Please see the new guidelines below.
- Only patients' immediate family may visit during their hospital stay.
- If you have cold or flu-like symptoms (fever, congestion, sneezing, cough, sore throat, body ache, chills and fatigue) we recommend you not to visit patients in the hospital.
- We recommend you refrain from bringing children to visit patients in the hospital during the flu season. Although anyone can spread the virus, children under 18 years of age are more likely to do so.
- Remember to wash your hands regularly. Please use our hand sanitizing products throughout the hospital to keep your hands clean. Alcohol based foam and gel cleaners are labeled as “hand sanitizer” and are available for your use (in addition to restroom sink areas). Frequent hand washing will help prevent the spread of the flu to our patients, staff and visitors.
