Social Work Services Outpatient & DiagnosticServices

Our Social Work Services staff helps patients and their families deal with the emotional, financial, and social stresses that accompany illness and hospitalization.

They offer assistance with housing, transportation, food, clothing, translation, financial, insurance, and legal concerns; consultation in the areas of child and elderly abuse, domestic violence, adoption, organ and tissue donation; discharge planning for home care or transfer to a nursing home or continuing care facility; emotional support and counseling; referrals to community agencies; counseling related to advance directives and patient grievances and complaints.

All social workers have a working knowledge of social work theories, therapies, and techniques at a level acquired through the completion of bachelor's or master's degrees in social work or related human services field. For more information, call (717) 960-3232.
