The Medical Surgical III unit has designated pediatric beds available for children ages newborn to 18 years. We believe parents are a very important part of the recovery process, and therefore, encourage parents to spend the night with their child through our “Rooming In” Program. 

Carlisle Regional Medical Center also offers a Pre-Operative Program to familiarize children with the Medical Center, procedures, and equipment seen and experienced with surgery. The older children also have access to VCRs stocked with a variety of movies and games.

We follow very strict safety and security procedures to put parents at ease about the safety of their children. Liberal visitation hours encourage parents and family members to spend as much time as possible with their sick child. This helps to decrease anxiety of both child and parent. Working together, our Pediatrics Staff makes each child's Medical Center stay an experience of both healing and compassion.
