CRMC Department of Anesthesia Services
Comprised of experienced Anesthesiologists (MD) and Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs), provides the full range of anesthesia services to patients. Anesthesia personnel provide around-the-clock staffing to facilitate emergency situations.
Techniques of anesthesia utilized in the surgical and obstetrical suites include: monitored anesthesia care with or without sedation, regional anesthesia (spinal, epidural, IV regional, etc.), and general anesthesia.
Prior to surgery, a member of the department interviews the patient and reviews the Medical Center chart. Utilizing the latest in monitoring equipment and pharmacology, anesthesia is customized to the individual and procedure.
The Anesthesia Department provides consultation throughout Carlisle Regional Medical Center in the areas of respiratory care, intravenous access, acute pain management, conscious sedation for minor procedures, and in the Pain Management Center chronic pain management.
Quality and safety are paramount to our Anesthesia Care Team. Patients with concerns about their anesthesia are welcome to contact the Anesthesia Department or make an appointment to meet with an Anesthesiologist through their surgeon's office.
