The primary role of the social worker is to enhance human well-being and help meet the basic human needs of all people, with particular attention to the needs and empowerment of people who are vulnerable, oppressed, and living in poverty.
All social workers adhere to a strict code of ethics and have a working knowledge of social work theories, therapies, and techniques at a level acquired through the completion of a master's degrees in social work.
