Infusion Services

Outpatient infusion services

At Carlisle Regional Medical Center, we provide infusion therapy services for chronic diseases and cancer treatments in a friendly, welcoming environment. The Outpatient Infusion Center at Carlisle Regional Medical Center is a warm, friendly wing of the Day Procedure Unit. It offers outpatient infusions for patients requiring infusion therapy for chronic diseases and cancer treatments, so patients can stay right here in the community to get the treatment they need.

The Center is staffed by Registered Nurses, many of whom have advanced, national certification in oncology and infusion therapy. The Center offers comfortable recliners and each patient has their own television set. Privacy is available, but many patients find the social interaction also available a nice break when receiving treatments.

Conditions We Treat

Some conditions require treatment beyond what can be delivered via oral medications. When infusion therapy is required, the experienced professionals at Carlisle Regional provide quality intravenous (IV) therapy services and blood transfusions on an outpatient basis. Treatments include chemotherapy, antibiotics, blood transfusions, and infusion therapy with Reclast and Boniva to prevent the deterioration of bone tissue that can occur with osteoporosis.

Our specially trained nurses provide a range of therapies and close monitoring to ensure patient safety, including:

  • Antibiotic therapy
  • Blood transfusions
  • Chemotherapy
  • Intravenous therapy (IV)
  • Parenteral nutrition
  • Reclast® and BONIVA® therapy for osteoporosis treatment
